Marketing, Digital Marketing and Social Media Seminar

With an adventurous, motivating spirit, Coca-Cola has taken its spot in the consumers mind as a happy brand. #Etganen (go crazy) is Coca-Cola’s latest social campaigns launched months ago yet already blooming on social media sites.

Mobinil “always together” song was released online through social media channels – YouTube – before releasing it on the TV. It took only a couple of days for the song to become a cultural phenomenon. It reached more than 8 million views on YouTube and on other uploaded versions, and renewed the people’s love for the brand, igniting some to switch telecom operators.
Digital marketing is set to be the future of marketing, and it seems likely that digital media will soon replace more traditional forms altogether.

“Digital Marketing”, “Social Media”: We come across – and probably use – these terms daily but for the non-specialist from us – which actually consist the most of us – do we know exactly their meaning of? Well, maybe we know what social media are but do we know how to use them for more than sharing photos, posts and links with our friends? How about using them for building your career or for the sake of your organization?

Here we can speak about digital marketing which is the promotion of products or brands via one or more forms of electronic media. For example, advertising media that might be used as part of the digital marketing strategy of a business could include promotional efforts made via the Internet, social media, mobile phones and electronic billboards, as well as via digital and television and radio channels.

Our First Speaker: Mohamed Hany Hussein, Brand Manager of Coca-Cola Egypt

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Marketing form University of New Brunswick, Canada, has more than six years experience in the advertising industry.

Our Second Speaker: Bassem Elhady is a Computer and Systems Engineer, Internet Entrepreneur, Social Media researcher and analyst. He is Co-founder and CEO of Kijamii; a Cairo based agency specialized in social media marketing.

He is also the Co-founder & head of Innovations team at TEDxCairo, part of the independently organized TEDx program dedicated to ideas worth spreading. Bassem is the winner of the Young Creative Entrepreneur Media award 2012 by the British Council. He also participated in many local and international conferences and he was honored to join as a speaker in Skoll world Forum in Social Entrepreneurship, March 2012 at University of Oxford where he spoke about Social Media and Entrepreneurship in the Middle East. Bassem is an INJAZ Egypt alumnus, where he first discovered his entrepreneurial streak. He is passionate about studying and understanding users’ behaviors on various social networks.

Our Third Speaker : Fady Ramzy is an entrepreneur and an Internet visionary. Online Entrepreneur.

He is a Digital Marketing speaker & consultant at Interact Egypt, as he was a Keynote speaker at the “Entrepreneurship Empowerment Symposium”, by ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Egypt during the Global Entrepreneurship week by the US Department of State, in November 2010. Keynote speaker at the “Social Media & Email Marketing Summit”, in Cairo, December 2010. Keynote speaker and panelist and moderator at the “Afri-Tech digital marketing summit” in Nairobi, June 2011. Keynote speaker at the “Digital Media innovations” Seminar, jointly with Al Ahram, in Cairo, July 2011.
And a Country Manager at InsideOut10 and Founder of Interact Egypt at which he is responsible for all business development, sales and marketing activities as well as customer/account management.
He was awarded, among only 19 other Egyptian Engineers, the Boeing Project Management Certification Program scholarship and achieved the Project Management professional (PMP) by PMI.

Our Forth Speaker: Tarek Abd El Latif, Manager of Digital marketing & SEO sub-function including (social media, digital advertising and search engine optimization) in Mobinil.

He started his career in Mobinil by working for the technology department in 2000, then shifting to the marketing Department in 2010, With a Doctorate in Business Administration in marketing (DBA), Master’s in Business Administration in marketing (MBA) from AAGSB 2008, Marketing Diploma 2006 (AAGSB) and Telecommunication transmission systems Diploma (Project: Functional testing of the Satellite TV System) at the national telecommunication institute (NTI) transmission department Y2003.
He had received Orange Bravo international Award for 2011 (innovative ideas) and Awarded mobismart Y2011, and Y2009 (1st position for innovative solutions).
